CARCINOGENICITY:Irac Monographs Vol. 42, Osha regulated - The citied irac monographs lists crystalline silica as showing limited evidence for carcinogenicity to humans crystalline silica content in this product is 1.12%.
SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF EXPOSURE: Accidental overexposure may result in coughing, wheezing and irritation of upper respiratory track.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS GENERALLY AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE:Pre existing asthma, bronchitis, emphysema and other lung respiratory ailments may be aggravated by over exposure to dust.
EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID PROCEDURES:Flush eyes with copious amounts of cool water to clear throat (material is non poisonous).
PRECAUTIONS FOR SAFE HANDLING USE
LEAK OR SPILL:Mist lightly with water, sweep and transfer to a closed container or vacuum with equipment fitted with an effective filter. Transfer broken bags to new bags without emptying.
WASTE DISPOSAL:Bury as non toxic waste in approved landfill
HANDLING AND STORAGE:Use techniques that minimize dust generation
OTHER PRECAUTIONS:Wet product can be slippery on a smooth concrete floor, caution is necessary under these conditions.
